Gov. Polis announces Executive Director for Governor’s Office of Information Technology

[DENVER, CO] --  Today, Gov. Jared Polis announced the appointment of Dr. Theresa Szczurek as state chief information officer and executive director to lead the Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT). 

As State CIO, Szczurek will be responsible for the operation and delivery of information and communications technology services for over 31,000 state agency employees across 1,300 locations. She will lead more than 900 staff at OIT to support Executive Branch agencies with missions critical to "Serving people serving Colorado." Szczurek stands ready to jump boldly into this role and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Coloradans.

“Given the breadth and depth of Theresa’s IT experience and her entrepreneurial spirit, I am confident that she will continue to transform the technology landscape in Colorado,” said Governor Jared Polis.
