DENVER, Colo.—The Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is proud to announce its ranking of 37 on the InformationWeek Elite 100 list. OIT was ranked among large private sector companies and public sector organizations alike. Now in its 28th year, the InformationWeek Elite 100 identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology. The full list of companies can be found here.

InformationWeek praised OIT for its “Department of Revenue Infrastructure Refresh,” an incredible project that completely upgraded the department’s systems and applications, resulting in faster service and greater accuracy.

“The work we do at OIT has a broad impact -- and our teams work hard every day to enhance Coloradans’ experience with state government. It is wonderful to be recognized with so many other great IT organizations,” says Suma Nallapati, CIO and Secretary of Technology for the State of Colorado.

“As business success becomes even more dependent on the ability to innovate in information technology, being represented on the InformationWeek Elite 100 list is one of the biggest honors a company can achieve,” said Susan Nunziata, editorial director of InformationWeek. “It’s a validation of efforts by the business to make IT a game changer.”

The InformationWeek Elite 100 research tracks the technology-based investments, strategies, and results of some of the best-known organizations in the country. Unique among corporate rankings, the InformationWeek Elite 100 spotlights the power of business technology innovation.
