The Chief Technology Office is the backbone of the Governor’s Office of Information Technology. This team manages, develops and supports agency and enterprise applications and services including providing state employees with a common platform for email and collaboration through Google Apps for Government; operating and maintaining the state’s data centers, mainframe, and voice and data network; providing system, server and network administration; overseeing major incident and change management; establishing the technical vision and implements strategic statewide information technology standards/platforms; and maintaining the Public Safety Communications Network
Our office also works diligently to ensure that our networks are secure and that sensitive information entrusted to the state of Colorado is protected.
Our teams make sure that we provide business-led IT solutions to our agency customers so they have the applications and technology tools they need to serve Colorado successfully. We also work with our customers to replace legacy technology with more agile solutions that help ensure their success.
Our work in the Chief Technology Office touches the lives of Coloradans most in need through the Colorado Benefits Management System—the system responsible for distributing food, cash, and medical services to our most vulnerable residents. Responsible for the statewide Public Safety Communications Network infrastructure, we enable direct communications between first responder agencies for daily and emergency incidents.
